Hayes named to hazing prevention commission​​

Mike Hayes, executive director of Campus Life and director of Greek Life at Washington University in St. Louis, has been named to the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) Presidential Commission on Hazing Awareness and Prevention.

The newly formed commission is charged with reviewing hazing research, assessing the effectiveness of current hazing prevention and education initiatives and identifying innovative opportunities for the NIC to promote member education.

The NIC also has launched the NIC Presidential Commission on Alcohol Use within the Fraternity Experience and the NIC Presidential Commission on Sexual Violence and Abuse Prevention.

Founded in 1909, the NIC is a trade association representing 74 international and national men’s fraternities.
