Investigational drug for genetic form of ALS improves disease’s molecular signs
An international phase 3 clinical trial for a drug developed to treat a rare, inherited form of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) showed that it reduced molecular signs of the fatal disease, but at six months did not improve motor control and muscle strength, according to Washington University School of Medicine researchers.

Med facilities services to open in new location June 2
The School of Medicine’s Facilities Integrated Service Center will open Thursday, June 2, in its new location at the Mid Campus Center.

The university will award degrees to approximately 3,800 members of the Class of 2022, and Mae Jemison, MD, the first woman of color to become a NASA astronaut and to travel into space, will deliver the Commencement address.
