Brown School policy forum: ‘Affordable Care Act — the Evolution Continues’

Senior adviser in Health & Human Services Angoff to speak

Just two weeks before the presidential election, the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis puts the Affordable Care Act front and center with a policy forum on the signature legislation of Barack Obama’s presidency.

“Affordable Care Act — the Evolution Continues” takes place at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in Brown Hall Lounge on the Danforth Campus. Keynoting the forum is Jay Angoff, senior adviser at the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services and acting director for Region 7. Angoff is an expert on insurance law and insurance-related issues at both the national and state levels.

Following Angoff’s presentation is a panel discussion led by Edward F. Lawlor, PhD, dean of the Brown School and the founding director, Institute for Public Health. Also on the panel are M. Ryan Barker, director of health policy at the Missouri Foundation for Health, and Delores J. Gunn, MD, director of the St. Louis County Department of Health.
