Bear Cub pitch competition

On Thursday, Jan. 23, each of about 30 contenders for Bear Cub grants will present a two-minute elevator pitch outlining innovative ideas in neurology, cardiology, engineering, plant science, software development or other disciplines.

The Bear Cub Fund supports grants to faculty, staff and students for promising translational research not normally backed by federal grants. This type of research is needed to help investigators demonstrate the commercial potential of their technologies.

The event, hosted by the Office of Technology Management, will begin at 4 p.m. in the new OTM office space at 4240 Duncan Ave. A reception will follow at 5:30 p.m.

To attend the reception, please RSVP by Jan. 17 by emailing OTM@DOM.wustl.edu. For more information, contact Jon Kratochvil at kratochj@wustl.edu.
