Thurtene Carnival to support Ready Readers

Annual event runs April 15-17

Thurtene Carnival of Washington University in St. Louis has selected as its community partner Ready Readers, a leading local nonprofit that inspires children to love books.

Ready Readers volunteers read to thousands of low-income preschool students in school every week. The organization also gives students new books to take home.

Thurtene will run April 15-17 at the east end of the Danforth Campus. Students, alumni and employees, as well as members of the St. Louis community, are invited to enjoy rides, games, fair food and student performances. New highlights include a mini-golf course and a replica model of Busch stadium, where revelers will be able to play Wiffle ball.
