Who Knew WashU? 4.18.17

In honor of Earth Day this month, a green question: How many buildings certified as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum has Washington University built?

Answer: C) Two, the Lofts and Hillman Hall (pictured). Some of Hillman’s features are a rain garden, a green roof, native plants and highly efficient heating and cooling systems. Overall, the university has 21 LEED-certified projects.

Congrats to this week’s winner, Neha Prasad, an Arts & Sciences alum, who will receive an “I Knew WashU” luggage tag!
