Free winter vehicle inspection Dec. 10

The Washington University Police Department and Parking Services, in partnership with Hartmann’s Towing, once again will sponsor a free Traveler’s Vehicle Inspection service to WUSTL students, faculty and staff from noon-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Persons anticipating traveling by car for winter break can bring their vehicle to the lower level of Millbrook Garage in the early afternoon for a free inspection.

Staff will check tire pressure, fluid levels, wipers, and head and taillights. Local businesses have donated oil, windshield washer fluid and other vehicle fluids to allow the WUSTL community to top off these fluids before traveling.

“Too often we all neglect to check our vehicles before taking off on a trip,” says Chief of Police Don Strom. “This is a great, quick and easy opportunity for members of our campus community to get their vehicles inspected and help ensure they have a safe trip over the upcoming break.”

The WUPD Bear Patrol will assist the police and parking staff.
