Staff day 2014

Has this year’s unseasonably cold weather given you spring fever? Indulge the urge to abandon your desk and join Washington University in St. Louis colleagues for some fun in the sun at the annual Staff Day, Monday, May 19.

Teams are forming now for golf, softball, volleyball, and washers tournaments following the annual Staff Day service awards ceremony and buffet lunch.

Gather your coworkers and register as a group, or simply sign up on your own to help complete a team. Tournament winners will claim bragging rights and a trophy at the afternoon awards presentation, where players and non-players alike can cool off and recount game highlights over Ted Drewes frozen custard.

Not interested in team sports? Consider taking a campus bike ride, tour, group run or walk; participate in a guided tour of Kemper Art Museum; or grab a bingo card to play for fun prizes in Holmes Lounge.

Complete activity details and tournament registration instructions are located on the Human Resources website. Please note that tournament activities require advance registration. Don’t miss this opportunity to dust off your running shoes or catcher’s mitt and stretch your legs during work hours.

From your desktop, you may also print activity registration forms and RSVP to reserve your lunch ticket through the lunch ticket request form.

Please note that lunch ticket requests should be submitted through the website by Monday, May 12, to allow for processing. Lunch tickets will be sent separately to campus addresses in early May.
