Track and field teams win UAA indoor championship

The Washington University in St. Louis men’s and women’s track and field teams both won the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championship Feb. 27 in Cleveland. 

The women’s team now has won three consecutive indoor titles, while the men’s team successfully defended its title, now going back-to-back. 

Combined, both teams scored in all 32 events throughout the weekend for the first time in program history. 

In total, the women posted 217.5 points and the men collected 176.5. The women’s score of 217.5 points is the most ever recorded at the UAA Championships. 

WashU athletes also won six individual titles Feb. 27 along with posting 21 new all-time top 10 performances.
