Burnham recognized by two medical societies

Carey-Ann D. Burnham, associate professor of pathology and immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis,  has been named a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the American Academy of Microbiology.

Burnham’s research focuses on antimicrobial resistance and developing novel diagnostic methods for detecting bacterial infections such as Staphylococcus aureusClostridium difficile and other multidrug-resistant bacteria.
